#068 21/11/14- Girl Found, Lisa Hall
**I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review, bookreviewbuzz.com**
This book is good thrill ride with likeable characters as well as a storyline that keeps the reader on edge until the very last minute probably due the lack of details and high number of people, places and things that were influential to the story. It was an enjoyable book to read however I can’t be sure I understood all of it due to it being a bit confusing.
The main character is Ellen, she is a girl with a special gift that leads her into a world that she is completely unprepared for. I liked Ellen as she was down to earth and remained strong throughout the book even with the issues that she has to face. I was however a bit disappointed with her inability to form real relationships with any of the other characters (although I didn’t feel they were mentioned enough to form relationship with the main character).
The lack of secondary characters should have been an essential part in the main characters life however I only felt it added to the lack of character development in Ellen who despite the changes in her life remained the same throughout the book.
The pacing was a bit off as I felt that the end was intending to be climactic however there was insufficient information to let the reader become interested in what happens next.
The storyline was original and I really enjoyed the new, futuristic dystopian environment that surrounded the main character however I feel there was just too much going on in this story and too many I feel unanswered questions for me to really connect with the story.
3 stars, it was a good read however instantly forgettable.
