I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).
I finished this book and had to smile. I enjoyed it throughout and can't wait to read more in this series.
The main characters Alex and Zach are put together when demons threaten the life of Alex, and Zach is sent to protect her. Soon after being put together the main characters learn that they have been chosen by the gods to be mated to each other and no others. This is the kind of paranormal love story I love to read, one where we have a slightly reluctant female put in a situation with a male she can't say no to. I loved reading about how the bond between Alex and Zach grows throughout the book and found the titbits about reading each other's minds fairly amusing.
The secondary characters include a wide range of other supernatural creatures which all help Alex in her transition from normal life to life with Zach. I especially liked Irina, James and Scott and Bri who I would love to hear more about.
The pacing was great allowing the readers to grow to love the main characters before putting them in a difficult situation and threatening that relationship. I also liked that it didn't end on the initial problem that I got to know the outcome and the progression of the initial problem and learned more about both secondary and main characters before introducing a new problem.
The story line was great, it was nice to see vampires and werewolves actually getting along instead of the enemies storyline I feel is played out far too often. I also liked the inclusion of faries and the mixed couples of vampires and werewolves as in the case of Vlad and Irina.
