#097 Sacrfifced: the last oracle, Emily Wibberley

#097 Sacrfifced: the last oracle, Emily Wibberley

This book was gripping from start to finish, I did take a major break in the middle of reading this due to work commitments but I found it had such a lasting impression that it was easy to pick straight back up. It is essentially a story about a young girl who realises she holds the power of the Oracle and her journey of freedom.

The main character is Clio, she is the youngest sister in a family of women, her sisters before her were tested by their mother to see if they had the gift however following a very difficult situation were killed leaving Clio the last one remaining with this gift that has been forced onto her. In learning more about her gift Clio realises there are numerous horrendous acts being indicted upon other teenage girls. She feels the need to do something about this and in her attempts meets a boy, this is her love interest. I found this character to be very easy to read about and full of surprises, I found myself being dragged into the story by the characters emotions and how she reacts in difficult situations.

The secondary character which I felt most noteworthy is Riece, he is the love interest of main character Clio, he is also a massive influence in her life since he is the first person she really meets once she's come into her new power. There are other secondary characters but I feel that Riece is the most noteworthy because he helps Clio grow as a character throughout the book.

The pacing was great as there seemed to be an endless stream of disasters in Clio's life before they realised the overall cause of all the problems. I thought it was a very well paced book that I hope gets turned into a series because I would love to read more about this character.

The storyline was original and thrilling to read, I found it to be a very good and exciting read which had me hooked from the first page.

4 stars and I hope there is going to be more books in this series.
