#052 31st August 2014- Crimson Night (night #1), Marie Hall

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) Goodreads.com**

I loved this book; it was a great first in the series with fantastic characters that kept me hooked with intrigue. It was a fantastic twist that you didn’t see coming until it was happening; the plot twists were so unexpected that it made you doubt characters who you loved.

The main character is Pandora she is a badass and sexy, with a lust demon hiding in her subconscious. The lust demon drives Pandora’s sex drive making her pretty insatiable and giving us some pretty hot situations with some hot guys. I liked Pandora as a character, her badass, take- no- crap attitude adds to the reading experience making her a in my opinion a class female heroine.

The secondary characters include Luc, Grace, the priest and Kemen. All of these characters added to Pandora’s life and her discovery as she a prophecy about her. I loved Luc as he seems to be a stable influence in her life in that he is always near her not that he is stable as a person as his explosive personality is shown at times in the book. Grace is a character I never really trusted and that’s not just because of what happens in the end, I didn’t like the way she treated her assistant but she was important to Pandora and acted as a role model. The priest was brilliantly mysterious that I loved and hated in equal measures depending on what Pandora was feeling for him. I loved Kemen, a fantastic character that I think best reflects my personality; I loved his laid back attitude and enjoyed reading about his loving moments.

The pacing was great giving us aspects of the storyline at perfect times keeping us hooked and unable to put the book down. The pacing in this book will lead us perfectly onto the rest of the books in this series and has added to the overall reading experience. It left some things open ended which has made me want to read the rest in the series.

The storyline was brilliantly original with aspects of lots of genre and new paranormal species that I have not read about before. I loved how excellently the characters fitted into the storyline and the surroundings that surrounded them. I liked how each character reacted to the situations they are placed in; this book was expertly written allowing a brilliant flow throughout the book.

4 stars, I love this author and I have high hopes for this new series.

#053 1st September 2014- All Hallows Night (night #2), Marie Hall

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) Goodreads.com**

Woop woop, in this book I found myself cheering for Pandora- in my head- as she comes face to face with yet another challenge that broadcasts her supernatural ability to kick ass in all the right ways. In short I loved this book.

In this book Pandora finds herself facing the ultimate decision between a man she barely knows yet feels connected to or a man she's known her whole life who can't give her what she wants. We come face to face/ fist to fist with zombies who prove to be fatal and watch how our main character reacts when more of the prophecy is unravelled and the big bad bad guy is revealed. The author yet again gives another show stopping performance which we watch Pandora deliver. I love this character, she is supremely badass and addictive to read about, I found it especially interesting to read about how the new demon residing in her body helps her out when times get tough.

Secondary characters include the priest who we now know to call Asher, Luc, and Grace. I loved the priest / Asher and he has officially been added to the book boyfriend list for his sweet, sour and brilliantly unapologetic attitude I also love the little hate on Luc thing he's got going on and his ability to still be mysterious. Luc in this book for me was a little too whiney and not badass enough, I also hated him for his love affair on the side but he is still a strong influence in Pandora 's life and she forgives him- kind of- so I'll give him a pass until I find out what he's like in book three. Grace in this book for me was very very spookily mysterious, I still haven't forgiven her for Kemen's death and I don't think she has done enough to redeem herself yet.

The pacing was great delivering punch after punch throughout keeping me glued to my kindle and turning me into the most antisocial person ever! It was consistently well written throughout and I loved it.

The storyline was brilliant giving the right details at the right time keeping the readers entertained and staying true to the original characters introduced in book one. I hope this series continues to keep me entertained in book 3 but I don't want it to end so more than 3 books please.

5 stars, I often find second books better than first and this was no exception. The storyline got a whole lot deeper, characters developed and I grew to love them even more.

#054 4th September 2014- Howlers Night (night #3), Marie Hall

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) Goodreads.com**

Oh my word this book has been explosive giving us a twisted evil and a mater plan to end the lives of the characters we love. It has also given me a reason to sleep for as long as possible for the rest of my life- harness the power of sleep. This series of books to me has been a gift which keeps on giving.

In this book we had two main characters Pandora and Asher who each get the opportunity to tell their opinion of the story so far at different parts of the book. This was a great addition to the book as it helped us connect to the character who is going to be most prominent in Pandora 's life. Pandora in this book is very much a tortured soul going from hardship to happiness again and again and it made me love her more. At this point in other book series it is the female characters that annoy you however Pandora 's strong will and badass attitude made that impossible for me. Asher was as ever loyal to Pandora, I love how he never gives up on their love and that he will do anything for her and still be strong alpha male and fairly mysterious.

The secondary characters in this book were of course as always Luc and Grace but in this book we got a better view point of Bubba and Vyxyn and of course new character Dean. Lux has changed a lot when we finally meet up with him again in this book, he seems to be simply a shell of his former self living off the regret of not having Pandora in his life- it was difficult to see him like that in this book especially since I always kind of held a candle for him and Pandora. Grace in this book is suffering from an illness which I thought was kind of strange since until Pandora 's disappearance she seemed invincible and strong- not that her illness is due to Pandora not being there- but it almost feels as if everything is falling down around her. In this book we got to know a lot more about Bubba that in fact he is a lovable character and not at all the monster he was made out to be. Vyxyn is another returning character who we learn more about in this book and I feel as if Vyxyn could be the sisterly character Pandora has always needed. In this book we meet death, aka Dean- Dean is described as I always imagine him to be a game player, jumping overboard at the last minute to save himself- in short I loved him.

The pacing was brilliant as it instilled a sense of doom surrounding the main characters throughout the book only to have doom spring up on them at last and in a way no-one was expecting giving us a kick ads cliff hanger and leaving our jaws on the floor. I am ultimately glad that this is going to be a more than three book series and feel the storyline went in the exact direction it needed to to allow this.

The storyline however confusing at times was a thrill ride giving us twists and turns pointing us in one direction then another and ultimately leading us to an awesome cliff hanger ending. It has been expertly written and kept me glued to my kindle unable to look away, I can't wait to read the next book and find out the fate of the characters but want more and more books.

5 stars, I'm a fan of the series and the author. Can't say I was expecting this at all but by no means am I disappointed.
