#038 29th July- Say anything (life or death #2), Isobel Irons
**I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review**
This book had a lot more of a story than I was originally expecting and the fact that it was unexpected drew me into the story even more. In short I loved this book.
The main characters are Brady and Traci two doctors. I really loved Traci, I thought her attitude towards life and the way she narrated her part of the story was brilliant. I thought the way she talked herself through her day to day life made her seem extremely lifelike especially given her Asperger's. I also liked Brady whose character development throughout the story seems like a miracle going from one of the boys to having multiple different layers and finding love in Traci. I found these two characters very easy to read but most of all I found them enjoyable and I genuinely rooted for them as a couple which is always a plus.
The secondary characters included Brady's best friend, Sam who is actually only present for a small amount of the book but is probably one of the reasons for Brady's character development. Also Rachel, Traci's roommate whom I loved for being straight up 'Don't hurt my friend or I'll have you killed' with Brady on their first meeting. There were numerous other secondary characters and they contributed towards the story in their own way however were only there for a limited time.
The pacing was great adding in New elements of the story in throughout instead of being a big build up to the final three chapters where it all kicks off. The pacing is steady throughout and gives plenty of information on the main characters allowing me to get properly sucked in to the story.
The storyline was original and not at all what I was expecting making it even better for me as I was unable to put the book down. I loved how the relationship between Brady and Traci had nothing to do with the complication that kept them apart, it was a completely external factor that influenced Brady to stay away from Traci not something she/ he did to the other.
4 stars I really loved this book and thought it was very well written, this is an author I will look out for in the future.
