#084 29th December 2014- how the wolf lost her heart, Sarah Brownlee

**I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review, Goodreads.com**

It has taken me a long time to get round to reading this book and I'm quite glad I've left it till now I'm currently facing the small amount of calm a person can have between Christmas and New year's and in my opinion this is the best time to read a love story like this. Thank you very much to the author who asked me to review this book; I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This book is a classic love story with a huge twist, one that changes pretty much everything about the classic story and rearranges it in a wonderful way. I would love to read more about these great characters however I feel that it was an excellent ending to a great book. This book was expertly written leaving us supporting the characters and wanting them to get together until the very last minute while instilling a sense of doom throughout the book.

The main character are Skye and Raphael, two characters from a generation of morphers, Raphael and the people in his family have the ability to morph into tigers. Whereas Skye and her family have the ability to morph into wolves; the two characters are from very different backgrounds that come together in an unlikely way. The two characters connect instantly and cause a lot of heartache for readers for their inability to tell each other how they feel. I loved the two main characters that were both strong and stubborn in their own way, while at the same time needed each other for the thing they have in common.

The secondary characters include Daphne, Joey, Ricardo and Sacha. Daphne is Skye's best friend she stands by her side through almost everything however finds it difficult to deal with Skye while she is going through rough patches with Raphael. Joey and Ricardo are Raphael's brothers, they do not have the ability to morph however are known for being womanizers. Sachs is cause for most of the problems faced by Skye and Raphael as she has a crush on Raphael and is not afraid to scare off the competition.

The pacing is great leaving it up till the very last minute to allow the couple to find happiness with each other than bringing in the overall threat to the story and using it as a way to bring the couple closer together.

The storyline was original and unlike anything I have read before, it is fairly similar however to that of a chic flick film.

A great read 4 stars.
