I’m still unsure of what to make of this book- I don’t know
whether it’s because I’ve joined the series at book 6 or that it just wasn’t my
kind of book. I do intend to start the series from book 1 and read all the way
through at one point because I felt the book showed promise but I don’t know
when that will be. All in after a first reading of this book I think I just
really didn’t get it and because of this I think I just skim read the last half
of the book meaning I didn’t really understand what was going on.
There are a lot of characters in this book and I wasn’t sure
who was supposed to be a main character or a secondary characters so I’m just
going to tell you about the characters I found most noteworthy. Firstly there’s
Aaron a vampire who always seems to get in trouble and then worm his way into
bed with multiple gorgous women. Michelle is my second most noteworthy
character a vampire and a femme fatale attracting attention wherever she goes. Katya
is a werewolf bloodslave whose niece is a bloodslave to bad guy Dimitri giving
her a score that she needs to settle.
The pacing and storyline are as mentioned before slightly confusing but I think that is because
I found it difficult to read since I started at book 6.
I wish I had more to say about this book but I will be sure
to come back and read it after I’ve read the previous books in the series so
this review is subject to change. I am so sure of this that I have bought book
1 off amazon with the intent of starting it this weekend.
