#095 Bittersweet, Sunday James

#095 Bittersweet, Sunday James

Ok, first let me just start by saying I read this book under my perfect circumstances, all through the night with nothing else to think about, it was great. Now on to the book, I couldn’t put it down; it was expertly written to make you fall in love with the characters. It was a book that I very much enjoyed and I will defiantly be reading more by this author again.

The main characters are Greg and Cathy; Cathy is a waitress in her father’s restaurant when the producers of a new TV show come to her home town. Greg is a part of the cast of this new TV show and is hoping to become a success so that he doesn’t have to go and face his troubles back at home. When the two main characters meet numerous times they both feel they have a connection and when a one night stand between the two of them happen it’s like sparks have blown. These two characters radiated towards each other in a way that it felt believable and despite the issues going on in their lives they fall in love.

The secondary characters I felt most noteworthy include Max and Bethany;  Max is Cathy’s best friend, she’s a straight talking honest to a fault that we all think we are or want in a best friend.  Bethany is the girl who wants Greg too much; she almost ruins the relationship between Greg and Cathy.

The pacing was great leaving it up until the very last minute to let us know the outcome of the relationship between the two main characters. I really do want to read more about these two characters and the problems they face.

The storyline was original playing on many people’s fantasy of meeting your favourite TV star and becoming involved in an elicit relationship.

I really enjoyed this story and will defiantly try other books by the author as well as the rest of this series 4 stars.
