Third book review

#003 3rd May 2014: 'TWAS THE DARKEST NIGHT (DARKEST HOUR SAGA #1) (NEW GOTHAM FAIRY TALE) SOPHIE AVETT

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).

Ok, so safe to say I had a definite love/ hate relationship with this book- in that I really did overall love it but I hated that it took me so long to read.
The main characters, Elsa and Marshall were very likeable, Elsa more than Marshall. I think Elsa is very easy to relate to, being a strong independent female with serious body issues and a love for cake. Whereas Marshall is a broody vampire with father issues which most girls, me included find very hot. Together they seem like they would be an unstoppable force of nature which I absolutely love and let’s just say their sex life made me blush.

Secondary characters were also great and I do think the very loveable Sally needs her own book because she’s awesome! Ingrid and Ferris too.

The story line is great and I loved how the author didn't just tell you what was happening she painted a picture making every single aspect in such detail that it is vivid in your mind and unforgettable.

The pacing of the book was good however sometimes I felt that there was a lot of description and nothing else happening. However this was just a small issue because I was pretty much addicted to the story.

This book has been a very enjoyable read however is a one which you need to set a longer reading period- you don’t want to miss any of it- also I look forward to the sequel very much.
