#016

#016 1st June 2014: FULL STEAM AHEAD (SEA SWEPT #1) VALERIE CHASE

**I received this book for free in exchange for a free and honest review**

This book defiantly got me in the mood for a summer romance however long or short it may be I really can’t wait to go on holiday now. Aside from the fact I am now desperate to go on holiday I found the book to be a great read and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun, romantic summer read.

The main characters Georgia and Jace are highly addictive once they get past the initial I’m sharing my room with the biggest man slut moment. Georgia is a girl in way more trouble than she’s willing to admit, she needs a boy like Jace to help her come to terms with just how much trouble she is in. Whereas Jace is a boy with secrets hiding behind his man slut persona, only Georgia finds a way to look past this. There is a slight awkwardness between then due to Jace and Georgia’s ex-boyfriend being frat brothers but once they engage with each other you actually can’t see that it is an issue at all. They each have their issues but they overcome them together as they learn to share and trust in each other. At times it seems as if Jace is the one who’s keeping the relationship moving forward however this I think makes him a more likeable character- who doesn’t like a boy who knows what he wants.

I am very much split between liking and not liking the secondary characters, I like Yasmin and Elise (the girl who works on the boat) however I very much dislike Georgia’s ex because in honesty I really don’t think Georgia’s problem was big enough to cause him to break up with her. I guess that was the point and it did make Georgia more likable.

The pacing was very easy going making it a very easy book to read and get sucked into.

I liked the story line very much, while some might say this is the same story line that features in a lot of books at the minute I think it was so well written that it didn’t really matter.

This book very much deserves my 3.5/ 4 star rating and has very much put me in the mood for my summer to begin.
